Regular readers of our Expat articles section will be aware of the exodus of Brits to foreign countries. Some of you maybe considering doing this yourself but are concerned about how will you earn income abroad, or even if you are just looking for something to occupy your time.
Here at the Foreign Property Shop.Com, we specialise in offering interesting and varied properties all over the world, and not just properties for sale. Bulgaria is fast becoming a popular expat destination for Brits due to the good weather, 3 hour flight from the UK and almost tax haven status. We are pleased to offer a prime spa next to one of the country’s fastest growing ski resorts which is available to rent for just under 420 Euros per month! It is the perfect opportunity for someone who wants to start a new life abroad in a country where the economy is growing.
The Spa Centre
The Bulgarian mountain ranges are some of the most unspoilt in Europe and tourist facilities that make full use of this beautiful area are only just starting to develop. The spa centre we have available is situated in the Alpine village of Beli Iskar, set in a valley high in the Rila Mountains of Bulgaria. With large French windows overlooking pine clad mountains and little traffic, it is a serene area and easily accessible from the airport and surrounding towns.
At just over 5000 square foot in size (500m2), the spa centre is substantial and includes the following facilities:
- Indoor swimming pool (with separate children’s section)
- Fitted gym
- Steam room
- Massage and therapy room
- Changing rooms
The Rila National Park of Bulgaria starts at the edge of the village and is fantastic place for walks, horse riding, rock climbing etc. With diverse flora and fauna, some of it unique, it is one of the most attractive national parks in the country.
Or during the summer, a visit to nearby Lake Iskar (20 mins) is highly recommended. There is a brand new water sports centre where you can wind surf, jet ski and wake board. Or just spend a relaxing day swimming.
All this chimes in perfectly with the health aspect of the spa centre and is easily accessible from the spa.
With its near tax haven status and fast growing economy, Bulgaria is considered a good place to run a business. Not only is there a growing expat popular in the Borovets region but the Bulgarian middle classes are becoming increasingly wealthy. Increased wealth means that the demand for things like visiting a spa or a gym are increasing as the local population have more money to spend.
According to recent surveys, it seems many British adults are seriously considering ‘taking a break’ from the UK for a few years until the economic problems subside. If this is something you are thinking then you could do worse than Bulgaria with its strong economy- the complete opposite to here in the UK.
