Irish property developer Platinum Developments will build a new $168.3 mln ski resort in Bulgaria, the Bulgarian investment agency was quoted as saying Thursday by news outfit Reuters.
The firm will build, through a Bulgarian-based unit it controls, several hotels, a ski zone and a spa complex in the southwest town of Dobrinishte near the winter resort Bansko and will fix infrastructure in the area, said Reuters.
'The construction may start by the end of this year. The project should be finalised in the next three years,' Hristo Etropolski of the Bulgarian investment agency was quoted as saying by Reuters.
The firm will secure 100 mln levs of the financing through its own funds and the other 160 mln will come from bank loans. It gave no other details.
Some 1,500 new jobs will be opened after the project is finalised and another 1,000 people will be employed during construction works, said Reuters.
